Center Road, Spanish Lookout
This is a list of shops and stores from south to north on Center Road. I will upload more pictures yet.
Universal Hardware
The first store on Center Road, right where the pavement begins, traveling north from the ferry. Auto sales and motorbike sales as well as a hardware and appliance store.
Close to Universal Hardware is Midwest Lumber, where wood frame houses are built and lumber is sold. A little before Universal, on the gravel road, is a gentleman who does a new method of water purifying, called Puroxi. He also deals with replacement parts for appliances.
Penner's Metal Works
Close to Universal Hardware and across the road from the above mentioned Midwest Lumber. They fabricate metal items such as galvanized and stainless steel water tanks and other custom metal work.
Friesen's Hatchery
About 3/4 mile from Penner's Metal Works, they take care of the community's baby chicks. Sales are only done on specific days. You can purchase your broiler, laying hens or roosters with them.
FB Trailers
Instead of traveling on Center Road, you take the road that goes east, right past the Friesen's Hatchery. After 3 sharp curves, you'll see their sign and some trailers and construction equipment displayed right beside the road. Industrial grade paint is also sold here.
Koop's Tinsmith
Very close to FB Trailers, specializing in galvanized metal fabricating, such as hurricane straps, downspouts, louver windows, etc. Horizon Fabricates is a company associated with them that takes care of installing gutters and water collecting system.
Belize Tire Depot
Back on Center Road, about 300 yards away from Friesen's Hatchery, a tire center and hardware store and are also agents for Fabrigas, a multi-gas Belizean company which will soon be ISO 9001 certified. Fire extinguisher refills, helium, acetylene, etc. can be purchased here.
Reimer's Service Center
Next to Belize Tire Depot, known as "the Esso station" by the locals around, a fuel station, tire center, and parts sales such as lights for vehicles as well as a range of machine bolts and nuts and a variety of electrical supplies.
Crossroad Farm Supplies
Across from Belize Tire, a hardware store and farm equipment center. New, used and refurbished farm machinery as well as parts. Massey Ferguson, Case IH, New Holland and other farm names can be seen on the yard. Inside the store you'll find general use items such as power tools and wheel barrows.
Midwest Steel and Agro Supplies
Across from Reimer's Service Center is the "Home Depot" of western Belize. They could be categorized into 3 groups. Hardware and home supply; chemical and agricultural supplies; steel supplies.
Quality Poultry Products
You know where that is and what they do. Can't miss it.

Farmer's Trading Center
Ahhh....the Mennonite "Wal-Mart". It is actually a co-op store. Basic hardware store, appliances, and grocery supermarket combined.
Caribbean Tires
Import/Export tire company and hardware store, also associated with the Texaco fuel station next to it and Caribbean Motors across from it. Next to Texaco is a multi auto company, Discount Auto Sales.
Market
Across from Caribbean Tires, it was opened a few years ago and is fast becoming the town center of Spanish Lookout. Stalls are owned by non-Mennonite people as well as some by Spanish Lookout residents. Within this 1/4 mile radius are also a water purifying company, 4 more restaurants, a clothing store with a herbal clinic next to it, and a truck parts store.
Quality Feed Mill
Recently expanded their showroom. Besides corn, they also carry poultry equipment and livestock supplies.
LP Gas & Supplies
Across from Quality Feed Mill, a butane supply store and appliances, as well as the only store that sells wooden furniture in Spanish Lookout.
Reimer's Feed Mill
A feed store, hardware store, livestock and pet supply center.
Econo Diesel
An auto and industrial equipment parts store directly across from Reimer's Feed Mill. Next to it is a small family-owned market.
Midway Convenience Store
A Shell fuel station, basic hardware store, electronics center and restaurant combined.
Westrac Ltd
A John Deere agent, auto parts center, auto and truck repair shop, as well as an agent for Atlantic Insurance.
Less than 1/4 mile north of Westrac is a gentleman who operates an agency for RF&G Insurance. A bit more down the road is a truck repair shop.
Now this are only the main businesses on both sides of Center Road. There are also restaurants on this main road and also Heritage Bank. On the roads that lead in to and out of Spanish Lookout are other businesses such as glass shops, house builders, a roofing company, lumber yards, clinic, pharmacy and dentist, auto parts center and repair shops, more restaurants, electronics stores, grain packing companies, construction companies, herbal and organic stores. While the majority are owned and managed by Spanish Lookout residents, there are a few businesses that are not part of Spanish Lookout and are owned by Mestizos, or "Spanish" as they are called here.
